Christmas (dreamy) Wishlist

Christmas (dreamy) Wishlist

Here we are again: it’s Christmas time!

I don’t know you but I am already in full Christmas mood: Spotify’s Christmas playlists are playing over and over in my home, biscuits have been baked and the presents for family and friends have all been bought and beautifully (at least I tried) wrapped. This might not be the best time of the year – I, by far, prefer short-sleeves season and longer days – but this is definitely an exciting period. For the occasion, I created a Xmas Pinterest board – useful if you are looking for food, table setting, decorations, and outfits inspiration.

All I want for Christmas

…is mainly the things I couldn’t treat myself with during the year or that are not this indispensable. I have created my Christmas wishlist, listing below 10 items I would die to get (on top of a peaceful world and cleaner planet). Hopefully, my lovely boyfriend, my sweet sisters, my generous friends and anyone who’d like to spoil me will read this post 😉

After our wedding this summer, we will fly to a paradisiac destination for our honeymoon. But I am starting to have a doubt: what I am going to wear… to sleep?! I am usually the kind of girl who wears 100% cotton, XXL, rabbit-decorated pajamas. But for this special occasion, I see myself wearing silky, pretty sleepwear and I found the perfect set at Intimissimi.

It is a few months now that I am looking for something to add to our hallway as it is a bland, long corridor. I have already hanged pictures, placed frames, vases of different sizes and candles but I was thinking about something to brighten the space. The other day, while browsing on Etsy, I had a crush on the “hello” neon sign. Now I just want it!

I am completely into this checked blazer from Vero Moda. I like that it is long and versatile. The light grey makes it stand out from the usual dark winter clothes: good point! Problem? I already have too many blazers in my wardrobe…

I fancy a new facial cleanser and the Buff and Wash Facial Gel from Sisley intrigues me: it is apparently gentle but cleanses and buffs away dead skin cells and impurities in a single motion thanks to its exfoliating microparticules. And it is also rich in essential oils. I am really curious to try it!

I like to wear original earrings from time to time, but on a daily basis, I wear classical “keeper” gold earrings. I can sleep, shower, do sports without even thinking about it, and still look feminine. The purpose of it is to be minimal and I like these simple but chic, yellow gold earrings from Histoire d’Or, a French jewelry brand where I am used to buying my earrings since I am a child.

If you follow me, you know that serum is an integral part of my daily skin routine. Alas, I just finished the Midnight Recovery serum from Kiehl’s I was using. To change a bit and to prevent my skin from getting used to it, I am thinking to go back to my first love: Clarins’ Double Serum. They call it the “Swiss knife” because it is excellent at doing everything: hydrating, nourishing, protecting, anti-aging, smoothing… Plus it smells divine.

In Milan’s newest mall inaugurated last week, CityLife Shopping District, there is Habitat, a furnishing brand I adore. There, I found a LOT of baskets, candles, armchair, I was about to take home (too bad I was in scooter). But more importantly, I found the porcelain Coast set. White plates, mugs, bowls, and jugs that are simple and sophisticated at the same time. Imperfectly perfect. It was love at first sight!

Now that I am going skiing every year or so (my fiancé is a huge ski fan and the closest slopes are only 1.30 hour from Milan), I need to buy a proper ski gear. Let’s just say that my current red full-suit, bought ten years ago, isn’t the sexiest thing on Earth. Instead, I’d like fitted black trousers to go with the rest of my ski outfit that is rather colorful.

I am in love with Converse’s latest model, the One Star Platform Velvet. I mean, who doesn’t like red velvet shoes? They are trendy, they go with everything (they would look lovely with a LBD, dots tights and a big knitted cardigan), and last but not least, I would finally have a pair of Converse to wear during winter.

Of course, I kept the best for the end. “Dream big” as they say. I have to admit it, I can’t wait to be part of the Gucci gang. My boyfriend (aka the man forced to drag me away from Gucci’s windows every month right after receiving my salary) can testify. So yes, I am craving the GG Marmont (black or red?) but this year I already invested in a Vuitton Neverful that will never go out of fashion. So perhaps next year…

And you, what is on top of your Christmas list this year?
